Koh Yao shopping doesn’t really exist. The tiny village of Koh Yao Noi has shops selling essentials but little else. There is a 7-11 convenience store and Je T’Aime, an expat restaurant serving international and Thai food. The village is near the main cluster of hotels on Koh Yao Noi.
For any other kind of shopping, you will have to wait until you return to Phuket. The Jung Ceylon and Central shopping malls in the Patong area provide lots of shopping opportunities.
