Tha Khao Pier is where ferry boats from the Krabi mainland arrive and depart on Koh Yao Noi.
Most people arrive on Koh Yao Noi by speedboat from Phuket. However, if you’re coming from Krabi, you can catch one of the traditional ferries from Krabi to Koh Yao Noi which are used by the island locals to ferry goods and passengers between the Krabi mainland and Koh Yao.
The ferries depart from Ao Thalane Pier on the Krabi mainland and come to Tha Khao pier on Koh Yao Noi on a daily basis. They do the reverse journey – Koh Yao Noi to Krabi – each day too.

Bear in mind that as these are local ferries (i.e. not designed for tourists) they can often change departure time or be cancelled, so the best bet is get there as early as possible.
